Pop-Culture MircoCon & Halloween Party at That’s Entertainment!

That’s Entertainment of Worcester, Massachusetts invites everyone to attend their “Pop-Culture MicroCon & Halloween Party” on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, 11:00am-5:00 p.m. The event will feature a costume contest and comic book creators and vendors, several of whom will be offering to draw free mini, pop-culture character sketches (one per person upon request).

Attendees who come dressed in a full costume will receive an instant $5 store credit. They can then enter the store’s Halloween costume contest for a chance to win an additional $25, $35, or $50 in store credit. Entry for the contest will be open from 11am to 5pm. Winners will be announced Tuesday, October 29^th.

For this one day only, customers also will get 13% off their entire purchase (see store website for full details. The store will also be giving away free comics and candy at the door! The first 100 attendees can get a FREE That’s Entertainment exclusive Halloween print featuring horror icons Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein illustrated by artist Bob Noberini (limit one print per household).

Admission to enter the “That’s E Halloween MicroCon” will be free, and all ages are welcome to attend. Parental supervision is advised. A few vendors will have some items intended for more mature audiences due to “graphic horror” content. Vendors have been asked to censor mature items from public view.

The “That’s E Micro Con” began in 2018 with only a few guest creators and vendors. Due to the success of the convention and popular demand, the store has decided to bring it back; and now with the additional space in their brand-new event room, That’s Entertainment is making it bigger and better than before.

Guest Experience Manager Sorana Gatej says, “I’ve always felt like our store is a pop-culture con that is open 363 days of the year. I created the “That’s E MicroCon” with the intention to simulate a ‘convention experience.’ I want to give customers the opportunity to connect with local creators in a more intimate and social setting.”

That’s Entertainment, located at 244 Park Ave, Worcester, MA is a pop culture emporium that specializes in everyone’s inner “geek.” They carry a wide variety of comics, vinyl records, vintage and modern video games and systems, anime, collectible card games, board games, sports cards, memorabilia, toys, posters, and other items.
