Winners of the Jabberwock Miniature Painting Contest!

Hello, folks! At last, we have the winners of the Jabberwock contest! It only took me forever to get this announcement to you due to a very heavy month of events that detained me. I know, I know, there’s no good excuse! I hope you can accept my apology, and going forward, I will have an assistant helping me with these contests. – Sorana (Guest Experience Manager)

Fan Vote: Guests of our store could vote by choosing their favorite miniature from among all the Jabberwock miniatures that were in our front hallway display case. Votes were submitted digitally through our website.

Tied for 1st Place: Nick C. ($50 Store Credit Prize) – Your terrain-building and painting skills are topnotch, Nick! We loved the earthtones and the little touches you added to your diorama!  Fantastic work!

Tied for 1st Place: Elanor O. ($50 Store Credit Prize)- You went above and beyond on this one! Your Jabberwock diorama told a gory story! We loved the painting techniques and the added wounds on the body of the Jabberwock! Those cosmic wings were so unique!!

Tied for 2^nd Place: Sara A. ($35 Store Credit Prize) – Sara, your painting technique is beautiful and tight! Your Jabberwock really comes to life!

Tied for 2^nd Place: Jon B. ($35 Store Credit Prize) – Jon, we loved your mini diorama! Your painting is detailed and sophisticated! Great job!

Tied for 3^rd Place: Colin P. ($25 Store Credit Prize) – The pearlescence paint you chose was not only magical to the eye, but you also layered the colors very carefully, creating a “realistic” look. We are impressed with your skill!

Tied for 3^rd Place: Sarah R. ($25 Store Credit Prize) – Sarah, we loved the unique direction you went with… The Jabberwock of the Swamp! We enjoyed the mossy feel you created by texturing your paint. We especially loved the camouflage effect on the wings, which must have taken forever to achieve! Your patience paid off! Beautiful work!

Tied for 3^rd Place: Mike K. ($25 Store Credit Prize) – Mike, we appreciated your tribute to Alice in Wonderland with your diorama! The addition of Alice and Wonderland-esque details were very nice touches! Your painting was also beautifully done! Great work!

Congratulations to all the winners, and many thanks to everyone who participated, including the voters! We hope you will join us again for another miniature painting contest/event in the future!

A NOTE TO OUR WINNERS: Please pick up your prizes and miniatures at the front counter of our store. You will have three weeks to pick up your miniatures from the day of this notice. After three weeks we will donate all abandoned miniatures to our volunteer dungeon masters, who will put them into action during our one-shot adventures or youth D&D. May that be a fair warning to you! HA!
