Hi folks! The Fan Votes and the Staff Votes are in for our Worcester Dire Troll Miniature Painting Contest! Some of you might have noticed unusual fluctuations in the running totals of our web poll. There was a strange glitch with the Fan Vote and within two hours we had a surge of over 1500 votes. Fortunately, we were able to work around the glitch and eliminate duplicate votes on the back end of the poll to get an accurate and fair result. In total there were 233 unique votes spread across all contestants, and here are the results:

The winner of our Fan Vote is 6) Josh C. with a total of 66 votes! Congrats, Josh! You won $25 in store credit and a Free gaming miniature of your choice retailing $10 or under!

Runners up in our Fan Vote were 14) Michael T. with 64 votes and 2) Matt S. with 38 votes.

The winners of our Staff Vote are the following:

1st Place: 2) Matt S. – $50 store credit prize!

2nd Place: 3) Sara A. – $25 store credit prize!

3rd Place: There was a tie between 7) Dylan Y. and 4) Matt Y. You each win $15 in store credit!

I will contact all the winners with instructions on how to claim your prizes!

Congratulations to all the winners and to all who entered. I think many of us can agree that this was a tight competition. There were so many wonderful and unique entries! Ted D – Great color choices, and I love the different colored heads!

Matt S – Very clean painting, amazing attention to technique, really sharp in all respects and The result is so realistic, I’m confronted by the full image of the creature as a whole before I go on to consider the details of a subtle, clever and restrained paint job.

Sara A – Those eyeballs are amazing! Love the color transitions and base work.

Matt Y – Mom Tattoo!!

Carl G – Glow sticks! That chain! To quote the great Todd Mcfarlane “kids like chains!”

Josh C – Nice flocking on the base. The slickness of the paint makes it look like it just rose from the swamp.

Dylan Y – Great layers on this one. Like the trees on the base that add to the scale. Nice touch with the blood.

Charlie B – reminds me of Goro from Mortal Kombat! Nice mold on the body.
